With offices in Dartmouth and Kingswear, The Coastal House is perfectly positioned to manage our diverse portfolio of properties on both sides of the River Dart. We understand how to show your home in the best possible light, both figuratively and literally and our professional photography will transport buyers right into the future they are dreaming of.

Home Styling

Creating the vision of an aspirational lifestyle that people want to buy into takes work. It’s the subtle little touches that make the biggest difference.

Dressing a home for sale ensures the best possible first impression. We love plain bedding, pale cushions and sumptuous throws, so we bring these items and other small accessories with us on your photoshoot to make sure your home works hard for you.

We even bring a bouquet of flowers (and leave them for you, of course), so you don’t have to remember to buy them for the shoot.

Once we have the most perfect images and visual brand for your home, it’s time for our talented designers to get to work, designing a brochure worthy of your home.

Together, we decide what size and shape of brochure will suit your home, how many pages it will have, where the key features will be highlighted, and the overall style of the pages. You see, every one of our brochures is crafted bespoke for each home.

Our friendly, professional and conscientious team brings a wealth of experience to The Coastal House which allows us to attract discerning buyers looking to start their new lives here in the South Hams. Each member of the team offers a unique perspective that helps us to deliver the results that our clients deserve.

Julie Hill

Owner

Julie trained as an advertising and editorial Photographer before setting up a studio in London as an editorial Photographer for magazines and books.

She moved to Devon with her young family in 2003 to be closer to the sea and established an interiors business, which she successfully sold a few years later. In 2006, Julie expanded on her love of homes and properties and used her wealth of personal experience with moving house to set up The Coastal House.

Julie is responsible for the strategic direction and development of the company. She has a keen interest in marketing and is constantly looking to raise the bar and push the boundaries when it comes to the service she provides.

When she is not busy helping people to find their forever homes, Julie can be found close to the water on the Dartmouth Estuary or heading out to sea for a ski and a swim. She enjoys walking the Southwest Coast Path and the many woodland walks right on our doorstep.

Michele grew up in the city of York, surrounded by an array of beautiful historic buildings which ignited her interest in property. She studied Process Engineering at Loughborough University and subsequently went into Research and Development before moving into Technical Sales.


Working as an estate agent in Kingswear for 23 year, Michele has unrivalled knowledge of the local property market and has established long-term relationships with both vendors and applicants. She joined Julie’s team in 2012 with the opening of the Kingswear Office, establishing The Coastal House as the only estate agent with offices on both sides of the River Dart. 

When she is not working, Michele enjoys reading and cooking or visiting Kingswear’s pubs to relax with friends. Her top tip for places to visit locally is Mansands, a beautiful quiet beach surrounded by National Trust countryside.

Donna Watson

Team Executive

After growing up in The South Hams Donna moved away and returned to the area 10 years ago. She spent the first 18 years of her career at the Inland Revenue before becoming Office Manager for the family Building Services Company.

Donna joined The Coastal House in 2018 as Office Manager. A good team player, she provides exceptional support to the team and her methodical and conscientious nature enables her to provide unparalleled customer service.

Her favourite part of working at The Coastal House is helping the selling and buying process to reach its successful conclusion whilst getting to know some lovely people along the way.

When she is not at work, Donna enjoys sitting with a cup of tea in the grounds of Dartmouth Castle gazing out of the mouth of the river to the sea beyond. Her favourite place to chill and catch up with friends is Cloud 9 at The Dart Marina, overlooking the beautiful River Dart.

Katie spent her childhood moving around the country before finally settling in Devon. She graduated with a BA Joint Honours in Russian & German and has Postgrads in Market Research and General Marketing plus various leadership, negotiating, presenting and train the trainer accreditations.

Katie worked in Business Development & Marketing for over 25 years in professional services before joining The Coastal House. An articulate and efficient member of the team, Katie doesn’t get fazed by anything. Her experience in business has allowed her to develop excellent promotional and negotiating skills which definitely come in handy now.

She enjoys the variety that comes with working at The Coastal House and enjoys finding the right property for the right people. When she is not working, Katie enjoys reading, travelling and dining in waterside pubs and restaurants with friends. When it comes to local days out, she recommends a trip to Shoalstone sea water pool in Brixham.

Lisa Marie Rogers

Lisa Marie was born in Paddington and has been interested in homes and property since getting her first job as an office junior in an estate agency straight out of school.

She has worked in estate agency on and off for over 25 years while raising her children. Excellent customer service skills, expertise in negotiation and sales progression make Lisa a valuable member of The Coastal House team.

Her personable and composed nature, friendliness, and her ability to empathise with clients means she is a great people person.

In her free time, Lisa enjoys cooking and spending time with her children and her French bulldog. She can often be found enjoying coffee, lunch, dinner or cocktails with friends. Her favourite places locally include Sugary Cove and Jawbone Hill, but she’s also a fan of the stunning views that can be appreciated from Little Dartmouth.
