We believe that there is a better way to sell homes that focuses on transparency, attentiveness, and creativity at every stage of the buying and selling journey. We understand that trust must be earned, and we feel privileged that our clients invite us to narrate the story of their home.
Thought, care and attention to detail goes into every home we sell at The Coastal House, from home styling and lifestyle photography to bespoke boards and magazine style brochures. Because we see your home with fresh perspective, we are able to shine a light on what makes it stand out and we communicate that in a way that no other agent can.
With offices in Dartmouth and Kingswear, The Coastal House is perfectly positioned to manage our diverse portfolio of properties on both sides of the River Dart. Whether it’s a chocolate-box cottage in Slapton, a sleek architect-designed home in Kingsear, or a period property in Dartmouth, our enthusiastic team is waiting to hear the tale of your unique home.
What we do
When you choose to work with The Coastal House, you are choosing to invest in a better future because we are constantly striving to raise the bar and exceed your expectations. That is why we offer a bespoke marketing package that is expressly tailored to your unique home. Working in close collaboration, we will co-create a vision for your home that will clearly convey all that is has to offer to its new owners.
They say that a picture paints a thousand words, and we understand better than most the power of photography to effectively bring your home to life. Through our imagery we aim to capture the essence of the lifestyle that buyers aspire to. We take them on an emotional journey that evokes the feelings of what it’s like to live in and enjoy your unique home. We understand how to show your home in the best possible light, both figuratively and literally and our professional photography will transport buyers right into the future they are dreaming of.
Creating the vision of an aspirational lifestyle that people want to buy into takes work. It’s the subtle little touches that make the biggest difference.
Dressing a home for sale ensures the best possible first impression. We love plain bedding, pale cushions and sumptuous throws, so we bring these items and other small accessories with us on your photoshoot to make sure your home works hard for you.
We even bring a bouquet of flowers (and leave them for you, of course), so you don’t have to remember to buy them for the shoot.
Your home deserves to be described in the best way, with the right words. Words that are evocative, emotive, and compelling. A house is not just bricks and mortar: it’s a home; a family; a dream. It’s full of memories for you, and full of hopes for the buyer.
We use a talented copywriter who will spend time talking to you about your home, and what it offers a buyer. The result is a narrative that will capture a buyer’s imagination, and compel them to come to see your home for themselves.
Once we have the most perfect images and visual brand for your home, it’s time for our talented designers to get to work, designing a brochure worthy of your home.
Together, we decide what size and shape of brochure will suit your home, how many pages it will have, where the key features will be highlighted, and the overall style of the pages. You see, every one of our brochures is crafted bespoke for each home.
It conveys a deep understanding of what it means to live in your home, resulting in a breathtakingly beautiful brochure that is so special, you’ll treasure it forever.
Bespoke For Sale Board
When potential buyers walk past your home, they don’t just see which agent is selling your home, they get an enticing sneak peek of your property that goes beyond the view from the road.
Our bespoke for sale boards showcase your homes best feature; how your home looks at twilight; the aeriel view; or the beautifully crafted kitchen, prompting them to book a viewing and take a closer look.
Meet the Team

Each member of the team offers a unique perspective that helps us to deliver the results that our clients deserve.
Julie trained as an advertising and editorial Photographer before setting up a studio in London as an editorial Photographer for magazines and books.
She moved to Devon with her young family in 2003 to be closer to the sea and established an interiors business, which she successfully sold a few years later. In 2006, Julie expanded on her love of homes and properties and used her wealth of personal experience with moving house to set up The Coastal House.
Julie is responsible for the strategic direction and development of the company. She has a keen interest in marketing and is constantly looking to raise the bar and push the boundaries when it comes to the service she provides.
When she is not busy helping people to find their forever homes, Julie can be found close to the water on the Dartmouth Estuary or heading out to sea for a ski and a swim. She enjoys walking the Southwest Coast Path and the many woodland walks right on our doorstep.
